Chicago, IL, September, 17th, 2018 – Mérieux NutriSciences announces the complete acquisition of Ambienge Engenharia Ambiental e Laboratório based in Fortaleza, Ceará State, Brazil.

Founded in 1998, the Ambienge laboratory offers a large spectrum of chemical and microbiological analyses on water, liquid effluents and atmospheric contaminants in both external and internal environments, as well as waste characterization services.

With this acquisition, Mérieux NutriSciences consolidates its position of market leader in environmental analyses in Brazil expanding its operations to the North and Northeast of the country, where Ambienge has significantly developed environmental consulting and monitoring activities.

The company counts on experts in analytical chemistry and environmental engineering distributed in different laboratory areas specialized in physical-chemical analysis of waters, effluents and residues, in microbiology, and atmospheric emissions. Ambienge has its own fleet and equipment for the collection of samples and field services for customer service.

Over the next few months, the Ambienge laboratory will be integrated into our global network of nearly 100 laboratories in 22 countries.
