A new Mérieux NutriSciences China laboratory dedicated to food safety and quality has opened in Guangzhou, China, becoming the 7th in the country to better serve our customers.

We are pleased to announce the opening of a new Mérieux NutriSciences China laboratory in Guangzhou, southern China. This new facility is solely focused on ensuring food safety and quality and is the 7th laboratory of Merieux NutriSciences in the country.

On 30th August 2023, Nicolas Cartier (CEO) proudly joined James Chen (Managing Director – China) and members of our team in China, as well as Sylvain Fourrière (Consul General of France in Guangzhou) and representatives of the Guangzhou Huangpu District, to officially inaugurate our Guangzhou lab.

During the opening ceremony, the Merieux NutriSciences’ representatives reinforced the strong Sino-French cooperation and how the new Guangzhou laboratory will further improve our service offer to the southern China market through the advanced technology and expertise, providing innovative solutions, serving the entire food industry chain, and contribute to a better future globally.

Established in 2022, this 3000m2 facility uses state-of-the-art technology to provide world-class microbiological and chemistry testing to the food industry in China. The Guangzhou lab testing offer includes pesticide residues, food ingredients, nutritional labeling, metals, mycotoxins, GMOs, additives, and allergens to meet the demand from the entire food value chain of Guangzhou and surrounding areas.
