Mérieux NutriSciences performs chemical and physical tests to evaluate the quality and safety of clothing and accessories. 

The laboratories have been developing and validating several methods to detect the presence of heavy metals, formaldehyde and the most common allergens, aromatic amines from azo dyes in textiles and nickel and chromium in accessories. As for quality control, Mérieux NutriSciences performs physical-mechanical tests on fabrics to evaluate their resistance to the most common stresses (tensile, abrasion, tear, etc.), the dimensional stability and the soundness of colors to washing, light and rubbing.
