The Annex to Regulation 1935/2004/EC lists the materials for which specific measures can be taken at Community level. However, EU-shared measures have not been undertaken for the majority of materials in contact with food (paper and cardboard, glass, wood, cork, metals, alloys, fabrics, adhesives, ion exchange resins, printing ink, silicon, paints and varnishes, waxes).
